3 weeks and counting!!

Our visas have arrived (mostly- we are still waiting for Arianne's fingerprints to clear) and we have begun the hideous task of packing. Ugh. Packing is like water- it takes up as much space as you give it. With our upcoming week-long trip to see family in Utah, that leaves us 8 packing days. Oy vey.

Two days ago, I returned from Washington DC where the F... orientation was held. It was fantastic to be in the nation's capital for the week even if we didn't have lots of time to tourist around. Living in a hotel ALL BY MYSELF for 5 days was pure heaven. I got to sleep and take long showers and run every day- ahhhh. Despite the freedom, I did miss the kids. My mom and dad kept the two older girls for a few days so A had only the baby for most of the week.

The orientation was wonderful. Boy was it jam-packed with logistical, philospohical and linguistic information. We were all so exhausted by Friday! My exchange partner is awesome, she is going to great. Her English is really strong and she has an open attitude about everything. I am looking forward to spending some more time with her before we leave.

Back to the totes and boxes- our junk is calling!!!!
